Preliminary exercise feedback and learner response

1) Type up your teacher's feedback in full. If you've received your feedback via email, you can simply cut and paste it from the email into your blog.

WWW:

1. The overall premise of the music video in relation to the lyrics and song was very good. Clear performance and narrative concept established which links to the brief’s outline

2. A variety of shot types shot movement and location choices would be very suitable for the intended target audience. The jump cuts of the female faces was a clever idea given the nature of your music video’s message/campaign

Next steps:

1. The final shot at the end of the video (at the concert) felt too long and out of place compared to the rest of the music video

2. If you are planning to lip-sync, just make sure that the video matches the audio more closely

2) Using a combination of your own reflection on the preliminary exercise and the feedback you were given, write two WWW bullet points (What Went Well) and two Next Step bullet points for your preliminary exercise.

WWW: .The story line and song choice
            .Use of camera

Next step: .Make sure every shot fits in and the length is appropriate
.Check that every clip lines up with the music

3) What have you learned from the preliminary exercise that will help you in the actual coursework project? List three things you have learned or will do differently as a result of this exercise. You may want to comment on organisation, actors, filming, editing or something else entirely but be specific.

Make sure that every clip is suited to the music and lyrics
Make sure that the pace is appropriate
Make sure that the clips aren't random and actually relate to the topic
